Sailors looking for solid power and acceleration, and a bit of back hand pressure to let you know that the gas is on, will love the Goya Banzai X! This four batten sail is super tune-able, and can be rigged for full power by using the top clew grommet, or softened up and de-powered by moving down to the lower clew grommet. The Banzai feels great on quads, thrusters, and even single fin boards, and works great for full power jumping and aggressive sailing! Wave sailing purists, bump and jump sailors, and wind foiling addicts all love the Banzai!
The Banzai has been a wave and bump and jump machine for years now, and the 2020 version exceeds all expectations with it's massively tune-able range! Rig for pumpable power and explosive acceleration by using the upper outhaul grommet, or use the lower outhaul grommet to settle things down and make the sail super light in the hands. Your rig, your choice, your day!
The X-Ply version of the sail includes a full scrim and x-ply construction. Built super durable for the harshest of environments!

Manufacturer's Comments:
Banzai X Pro
Powerwave 4 Batten
Banzai X Pro has the same quality film in the window, equally UV protected and highly resistant to hard creases, with the addition of ultra strong Spectra yarns for added tear resistance in the rare occasion you do pinch its outstanding base film.
The Banzai X Pro is the “go to” 4 batten worldwide wave sail for our top riders Levi Siver and Marino Gil Gherardi (PWA youth wave world champion). The Banzai X Pro is the answer and solution to all demands of a light weight, direct power delivery, wide range sail with heaps of flex feel and control. The adaptability of the Banzai X Pro is unparalleled.
Unique to the Banzai X Pro design concept is the back-hand throttle control. The sail pulls forward from “low RPMs” and is very balanced, but there is always a little “extra” available off the back hand for when you really need to juice up into a jump or maneuver. This tactile back-hand feel gives you a direct connection to how the sail is loading and releasing and allows you stay connected throughout your maneuvers. Marcilio Browne has driven this concept, insisting that the sails maintain the connected feel, providing him supreme confidence and control through technical and radical maneuvers. There is a trend in the market for more “neutral” feeling wave sails, and while there is a place for more of that on other Goya models, the Banzai X Pro is designed for a more positive rider connection to instant power delivery.

Construction
Pro X-Ply & Scrim
X-Ply Window Panels. X-Ply offers the same weight and feel of a clear window construction. The difference is increased durability through improved tear resistance. X-Ply film reinforced with yarns is incredibly tear resistant, the perfect body panel material for people looking for maximum durability.
Scrim Body Panels. The colored Scrim material used in the main panels offers super strong durability, super light weight and a supple and alive feel throughout the sail.
Scrim Luff Panels. The new Scrim luff panels are making the sails feel super crisp and quick, while still being flexible. It’s simply a lighter feeling in the hands. The beautiful thing about Scrim is the general silkiness of the material, so much the opposite of the hardness associated with most laminates. The practical thing about Scrim is that it comes back to zero after being loaded. It stays the same. Whereas Dacron grows at various rates as you use it.
